Not being able to speak good English prevents refugees and migrants from getting a job and from moving on in life. We want to improve this situation by providing a free ESOL classes to enable people from French speaking African countries refugees and migrants to access:
We want all refugees and migrants from French speaking African Countries to learn English, improve their lives and their employment prospects. We also want refugees and migrants who are already in low-paid, low-skilled jobs to improve their English, so that they can improve their job prospects. Often they have experience and qualifications from other countries which could be valuable to London.
Coming to a new country can often mean a change in career for new immigrants. When first arriving in England, people may need to consider working in a job that is different from their previous occupation. We offer strategies for identifying transferable skills to help migrants find a new kind of work, to empower them so that they can take control of their economic life such as interviews skills, CV writing and business start up.
